Stains and streaks on (matte) tiles?
In the vast majority of cases, it's just a film if it's an existing floor. A film is often clearly visible, especially in raking light. It makes the floor look as if it's dirty and will remain so, despite all the mopping and frantic efforts to remove stains and streaks.

Faber's tile cleaner has been specially developed to remove these maintenance layers/built-up film layers from ceramic tiles.
